BOISE - The Idaho Transportation Department advises motorists that an island curb will be installed on Garrity Boulevard on Monday (June 6) to reduce backups and improve traffic flow.
The curb will permanently restrict left-hand turns onto Ridgecrest Drive. Installation of the curb will begin Monday at 9 a.m. and will take two days to complete. Motorist can expect daytime lane restrictions and traffic delays while the island is installed. The island installation is part the I-84, Garrity Interchange project. The project is expected to be completed this summer, with three lanes open in each direction on I-84 over the bridge, eventually connecting with a fourth lane in each direction east of the interchange.
