FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Construction to detour traffic on I-15 and Idaho 22 west of Dubois starting Sunday night

RIGBY - Construction will detour traffic on Interstate 15 and Idaho 22 west of Dubois starting Sunday (June 17) at 8 p.m., the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

Crews will detour traffic from both roads onto ramps of the Dubois interchange (Exit 167), which is being reconstructed. The detours will accommodate bridge demolition, removal and construction.

The I-15 detour will last approximately 10 hours, between Sunday at 8 p.m. and Monday at 6 a.m., while the Idaho 22 detour will be until the new overpass is constructed late this year.

The speed limit on I-15 will be reduced to 55 miles per hour, while the speed limit on Idaho 22 will be reduced to 35 miles per hour.

Traffic on Idaho 22, which passes over I-15 west of Dubois, will be redirected to the interstate to access the state highway east or west of the interchange.

Motorists on both routes should anticipate merging traffic, watch for construction workers and equipment, and obey all traffic signs.
