D3's Wright earns praise for helping out-of-gas driver

District 3’s Kyle Wright (pictured below) recently received praise from a citizen for his assistance as part of the Incident Response crew. Wright has been with the department since 2000.

“Kyle has always set an example of helping others, without being asked to step in," said Wright’s supervisor, D3 Maintenance Coordinator Dan Bryant. "This kudos represents what our crew does daily to ensure motorists receive the attention they need when they least expect or anticipate it.”

The full comment below was posted on ITD’s Facebook page:

"Thanks Idaho Transportation Department incident responder who unsolicited came to the rescue as I was on the phone with AAA. He stopped by and got my car going!!

Note to self: when you're in your son's car don't believe the gas gauge when it says you have an eighth of a tank! I was on my way to get gas!"

In addition to his work with Incident Response, Wright has volunteered as an ITD representative at Meridian's Public Works Expo for several years, which showcases what various city and state agencies do in the communities they serve.
