As pothole repairs take center stage, ITD creates new webpage
to address issue

As this historic winter marches on, potholes are developing in roadway surfaces across the state. Record precipitation and multiple freeze-thaw cycles are causing distress in many of the highways we all rely on for safe travel to home, work, school and recreation. The department has added a new page to the website to address a few of these concerns.

The page features a discussion of how potholes are formed, budgetary limitations, the agency's response, and a section devoted to recent pothole coverage in the media.
