Rotary Adopt-a-Highway group cleans stretch of Idaho 21

Boise’s Centennial Rotary Club has been volunteering regularly as part of its commitment to the Idaho Transportation Department’s Adopt-a-Highway Program since 2008. On April 30, about 14 members of their service club spent their Sunday morning cleaning debris and litter along Idaho 21 near Robie Creek.

It took the group about two hours to clean up debris along the two-mile stretch of highway. To achieve its goal, these Rotarians divided and conquered — splitting the group to clear both sides of the highway at once. Afterward, the group enjoyed lunch and socializing.

“As Rotarians, we strive for service above self and having fun," said Club President Teresa Yrazabal Paige. “This project is perfect and keeps Idaho scenic. Thanks ITD for the program and support.”
