10 Digit Dialing - coming soon to you            

Due to a new area code that will be added to Idaho in September, ITD will be moving to a new dialing procedure in phases over the next three months.

What will be the new dialing procedure?

To complete local calls, the new dialing procedure requires callers to dial the 10-digit telephone number, 9(208)xxx-xxxx. This means calls in the (208) area code currently dialed with seven digits will need to be dialed using the complete 10-digit phone number.

The change will not effect internal dialing (district-to-district or ITD group to ITD group).

ITD's D4 willgo liveon the new system May 29. We will keep you posted as we determine the remaining schedule.
