New Public Transportation Manager Jason Brown joins department

Jason Brown, a bilingual asset manager originally from Salt Lake City, joined ITD as new manager of Public Transportation May 15. He will report to Chief Deputy Scott Stokes.

Jason served stints at both Morgan Stanley and Fidelity Investments in the Salt Lake area, starting in international exchange with Fidelity in the late '90s. He was in charge of risk assessment and regional money-movement monitoring at Morgan Stanley most recently.

"I am thrilled to be working for the people of Idaho as well as for the Transportation Department," Brown said. "My goals are to add to the already successful and well-run department, as well as increasing the cross-functional collaboration of the various public transit committees."

"I also look forward to enhancing and continually improving the transportation experience for the citizens and State of Idaho," he added.

Brown earned a Master's of Business Administration from the University of Utah in 2011.
