Flooding causes Idaho 21 headaches

It wasn’t snowfall, avalanches and debris that forced the closure of Idaho 21 between Lowman and Stanley on June 5—but instead rising creek waters that washed out a section of the highway. High waters in Canyon Creek compromised a section of the road, creating a potential hazard for drivers traveling on the popular recreational route.

Crews spent the day conducting repairs to the highway shoulder, and were able to open it back to all traffic later that evening.
