Stanley tops D4 Equipment Roadeo again, Rigby wins fourth in a row             

It was a close finish among the top two competitors, but they both claimed the top spot by competing in separate divisions in the District 4 Equipment Roadeo on May 25 at the Twin Falls shed.

Burton Stanley, of the Stanley Operations Shed, finished with top scores in both snow plow and loader events, which he needed to outscore the four-time foreman division winner Tony Rigby of Sublett. When done, Stanley finished with 2010 points to Rigby’s 2005.

But competing for the top spot is not new to either, Stanley won the district title in 2015 and was second in 2016. Rigby has won six times at the foreman level, including each of the last four years (2014-17).

Rounding out the top finishes for D4 includes first-time top-three finishers Brian Davidson from Rupert and Allan Stowell from Shoshone. The alternate, who will be representing D4 at the State Roadeo June 13 in place of Burton Stanley, will be Mike Stowell from Shoshone.
