ITD adopts new branding policy for all communication, presentations

Branding work products as our own is a big part of owning the message, which is a strategic initiative the department has been pursuing in earnest for several months. The next step down that path was taken last week when the Director signed an administrative policy that mandates identification of ITD property and publications by requiring that the ITD mission statement be clearly displayed in conjunction with our logo.

“The purpose of the policy is to standardize the use of the ITD brand,” explained Communication Manager Vince Trimboli, and “to reinforce our commitment to customer service by emphasizing the department's mission statement:  Your Safety.  Your Mobility.  Your Economic Opportunity.”

According to the policy:
The official ITD brand shall be the ITD logo accompanied by the department's mission statement "Your Safety. Your Mobility. Your Economic Opportunity." in a bold san-serif font. The mission text can be placed left-aligned on the right side of the logo or centered below the logo as shown in the examples below and above the story.

The ITD brand shall be used on all department documents, web pages, presentation slides, forms, brochures, shoulder patches and wherever deemed advisable. Contact the Office of Communication to obtain digital copies of the brand.

These images can also be accessed and downloaded from the Office of Communication’s SharePoint page on the ITD Portal. The new policy also means that all presentation, such as PowerPoint or Prezi, must also adhere to the new branding look, such as the example at right.
