Hatfield joins D1 as Business Operations Manager July 17

Drue Hatfield, who served as project director under a Department of Labor grant at North Idaho College for the last 2.5 years, will join ITD’s District 1 as Business Operations Manager on July 17, filling a position that has been vacant since January.

“The ITD District Business Manager is an absolute crux position for a strong team and the ability to reach the agency’s goals,” D1 District Engineer Damon Allen said. “The search was long but exciting, as there were lots of tremendous candidates.”

“In the end, Drue fit the team dynamic we were looking for and I’m excited to see what we can accomplish with her leadership,” Allen explained. "Drue brings a strong background in operations management and compliance to ITD".

Hatfield’s background includes a degree in Business Administration from Lewis-Clark State College, being the project coordinator for Northwest Council for Computer Education for six years, and serving as office manager at Pita Pit USA in 2007-2008.

In her most recent role, she managed a statewide leadership team, developed policy and procedures, and directed a three-college consortium.

"I am ecstatic to be joining the Idaho Transportation Department as the Business Operations Manager for District 1," Hatfield said. "I look forward to bringing my out-of-the box thinking to a highly successful team."

Drue enjoys spending her free time boating on Lake Coeur d'Alene with her husband and two daughters.
