D3 works on slope flattening near New Meadows

Rock excavation and scaling work have recently been completed along U.S. 95 north of New Meadows as part of a project to improve safety and sight visibility on the highway. The curve-flattening project began in early July and will be complete this fall.

As part of the project, temporary signals are guiding motorists through the one-lane work zone. Along the highway, wall construction will last about a month and a half.

Drivers are asked to slow down and pay attention to crews and signals in the mountain construction zone.
