ITD employee-driven Rapid Innovation event finds solutions

The Oct. 25 Rapid Innovation event showcased 13 teams and the solutions arrived at during a continuous-improvement journey. Winning teams took it beyond problem identification, planning next steps and providing timelines.

The teams were given process-improvement tools and provided common ITD problems to work on, with the hope that many participants would take the tools back to their workplaces and participate in rapid-improvement events at the district level.

The 13 teams – up from 10 last year – were composed of employees from various levels, business units and regions. Each team had 9-12 participants, a senior leadership team champion, and one of two facilitators.

Here are a few of the comments from attendees when asked for one word to describe their 2017 Leadership Summit experience:

Every single team had significant successes that were highlighted in 15-minute report-out capsules.
