Employees contribute nearly $6k to United Way

ITD’s 2017 Charitable Giving Campaign contributed nearly $6k to the United Way of Treasure Valley coffers during October, to help care for kids, families and seniors in need.

“We donated $5,728.80 to the United Way during the campaign,” said Beth Schiller, Executive Assistant to the Director and this year’s Charitable Giving Campaign coordinator.

“The efforts and investment in our community by employees are very appreciated,” Schiller added. “The support and generosity made it a success.”

Payroll deductions were the primary source of contributions, generating a drawing for lunch with Director Brian Ness. There also was the opportunity through one-time pledges for lunch with Chief Deputy Scott Stokes, plus the always-popular employee gift basket raffles.

In addition to Schiller, members of the charitable giving campaign were Sandra Alberti, Andrea Aliev, Sherry Buwalda, Sandy Harris, Shauna Miller, Tammie Jauregui, Rachel Pallister, Reggie Phipps, James Poorbaugh, Juanita Risch, Scott Thompson, Sharon Trent, Debbie Whitefield, Stephanie Wright, and Kristina Zahnter-Yocom.

Schiller also said the Office of Communication was instrumental in the success of the campaign.

Schiller added that although the charitable giving campaign is done, those still interested in contributing may contact United Way directly.
