Learn about colleagues' award-winning projects
at HQ ceremony Thursday

The annual Excellence in Transportation Awards ceremony is an opportunity to learn how transportation department staff and others are innovating in construction, transportation planning, public participation and other fields.

Each year, the department recognizes projects that take new approaches to solving problems and overcoming obstacles.

The awards ceremony will be Thursday, Dec. 14, at 9:10 a.m. MST in the auditorium at ITD Headquarters.

In previous years, projects have won awards for protecting osprey habitat at the top of a bridge, engaging the public on the Broadway Bridge replacement project, and building a bridge on Idaho 75.

At the ceremony on Thursday, award-winners will give PowerPoint presentations on their projects. In addition, ITD staff will be recognized for professional contributions in their fields of expertise.

"The awards ceremony gives ITD staff and consultants the opportunity to showcase work they're proud of, and others to learn about new approaches to managing projects," said Adam Rush, the awards ceremony coordinator.
