Leavitt and McGuire join ITD's Public Transportation office

The year might be winding down for most of the department, but for two new employees in ITD's Public Transportation Office (ITD-PT), a new chapter is just beginning.

The new employees, Josh Leavitt (pictured below with wife, KayLee and daughter, Emily) and Drew McGuire (pictured right), joined the Public Transportation Office this week in the Boise headquarters on Monday (Dec. 18).

"Josh and Drew bring skillsets that will complement our programs, and bring fresh perspectives and an enthusiasm to public transportation," said ITD-PT Manager Kim McGourty. "I am very excited about the two new additions to our team and the positive impact they will have in our community. As a fully staffed Public Transportation Office, we are eager to continue to build upon the success we saw this past year and take on new opportunities in 2018."

Leavitt comes to ITD from the United States Property and Fiscal Office of Idaho, serving as a federal accounting technician, and McGuire was most recently a Community Development Planner for a nonprofit council of governments in Twin Falls.

McGuire will be working with ITD-PT's Capital grant programs alongside Juanita Risch, and Leavitt will be working on the Operating grant programs alongside Rachel Pallister.
