Milepost marker innovation would allow precise reinstallation

A simple solution by District 4's Larry Anderson would alleviate the problem maintenance workers face when a milepost marker gets knocked down or run over, then carried down the road 100 feet or more from its original location.

"Trying to re-install them in the right location can be a challenge if you're not quite sure where it started out and can't find the stub," explained Anderson.

His solution is to install a 4-inch by 12-inch strip of thermoplastic on pavement next to the mileposts to help identify the location.
