FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Work at Vista ramps will cause overnight delays Sunday (March 14) and Monday (March 15)

BOISE - The Idaho Transportation Department will modify the I-84 westbound off-ramp and eastbound on-ramp at the Vista Interchange on Sunday and Monday nights (March 14-15).

- On Sunday night, crews will modify the westbound I-84 off-ramp.
- On Monday night, crews will modify the eastbound I-84 on-ramp.

Each ramp change will give motorists more room to merge. Work will take place overnight from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on each occasion.

The Idaho Transportation Department is reconstructing the Vista Interchange. The Vista Interchange project is expected to be completed in late summer 2010.

ITD and the Idaho State Police warn motorists to slow down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or interstate system.
