FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Minor work will continue at Vista Interchange through September as project wraps up

BOISE - Drivers will continue to see orange barrels through late September at Vista as the interchange reconstruction project finishes.

The Idaho Transportation Department advises that intermittent lane closures will be scheduled between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. while crews complete curbs and gutters, signage and clean-up activities.

The posted speed limit will return to 35 mph when construction is complete.

Construction on the $17.8 million project was funded through the federal stimulus program known as the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). The program was created to generate jobs and help boost Idaho's economy while upgrading the state's foundation for future economic growth.

ITD and the Idaho State Police caution motorists to slow down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or interstate system.
