Supplemental life insurance rates to change Aug. 5

A change in monthly premiums for employees taking advantage of the State Supplemental Life policy will go into effect on the Aug. 5 paycheck. Rates are based on an employee’s age as of July 1, 2011. Employees whose age falls into a new category will notice the premium change. Premiums are based on the scale below:

For example, if you make $10.46 per hour and are 55 years old, you would pay $9.46 per month. If your 56th birthday occurred between July 2, 2010, and July 1, 2011, your rate would change to $16.94 per month, beginning Aug. 5.

If you wish to cancel the premium, please contact Human Resources or your district personnel technician for assistance.
