Linx partnership provides trial access to Yellowstone

Thanks to the hard work of Yellowstone Business Partnership and its Linx program, there is a new way to travel to and within Yellowstone Park – while avoiding parking headaches!

For only $25, Yellowstone National Park visitors and employees can board buses up to seven times over two consecutive days!

The Ride Linx in Yellowstone is a pilot demonstration that launched a little more than a week ago and is scheduled to operate through Oct. 2.

In addition to increasing mobility within Yellowstone, Linx providers also are connecting the park to the region’s airports and major retail centers. Salt Lake Express, a CTAI Member, with service from Salt Lake City and points across Idaho, including Idaho Falls, Rexburg and Island Park, enters the park through West Yellowstone.

Karst Stage of Bozeman also enters the park through West Yellowstone, and provides a link from Bozeman and Big Sky. The Paradise Valley connection to Yellowstone, with stops in Livingston, Emigrant and Gardiner, is being served by both Karst and Amazing Taxi of Livingston, Montana.

Visitors wishing to get between the park and Cody can do so on LP Transportation, which is offering service between Pahaska Tepee and Cody, Wyoming. Salt Lake Express is transporting riders from Flagg Ranch south to Colter Bay, where riders can catch the Alltrans shuttle to visit Grand Teton National Park and Jackson, Wyo.

“Ever since we announced Ride Linx in Yellowstone this summer we have been getting calls from folks who want to ride – from hikers in Gardiner who want to get to a park campground to a Chinese visitor who wanted to make a day trip from Bozeman to Yellowstone,” said Jan Brown, acting General Manager for Linx . Brown also is executive director for the Yellowstone Business Partnership, which helps administer Linx.

“We are excited to have the opportunity to pilot Ride Linx in Yellowstone this summer and to begin providing public transportation solutions for this very special place that attracts millions of people from around the world.”
