Fall computer training schedule announced

Headquarters Training and Development will offer nearly a dozen computer classes this fall, beginning with Microsoft Excel on Oct. 25.

MS Excel includes three full-day sessions. The series is scheduled for Oct 25, Nov. 1 and Nov. 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. The Excel course will be offered a second time on Dec. 6, 13 and 20.

Microsoft Word also requires three days and will be taught on Nov. 2, 9 and 16 at the same hours.

Employees who want to learn the intricacies of Microsoft’s Windows 7 operating system can choose from among four three-hour sessions:

  • Oct. 27, 9 a.m. to noon
  • Oct. 27, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Dec. 8, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., or
  • Dec. 15, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

One-day sessions also are offered on PowerPoint and Digital Photo Essentials. Mastering the e-mail program Outlook will require two days, instruction in Access will take three days, Acrobat Professional will be spread over two mornings, and Computer File Management and Mail Merging in MS Word will each take three hours.

Employees who want to attend any of the computer classes should complete and submit a Nomination for Training form (No. 0733) to Training and Development, attn. Judi Conner.
