Board seeks volunteers for new trucking advisory board

The Idaho Transportation Board is looking for seven people interested in serving on a trucking advisory council.

The council would advise the board on laws and rules that affect Idaho trucking operations, safety issues, and would recommend highway improvements .

“Input from this group will enhance the efficiency in which Idaho’s products are transported,” Alan Frew, the ITD Division of Motor Vehicles Administrator, said.

Members representing various areas of the state would serve three-year terms, meet at least two times annually, be paid $35 per day and be reimbursed for travel, lodging and meals. The initial appointment may be for one to three years to allow two members to be appointed each year.

If interested contact Frew by Nov. 30 at alan.frew@itd.idaho.gov. Include a brief resume outlining experience in the trucking industry.
