ITD offers free workshops on EEO/Affirmative Action requirements

Equal employment and affirmative action requirements don’t need to be perplexing when working with federal contracts.

Julie Caldwell, EEO/contract compliance officer for ITD, will present free half-day workshops outlining civil rights responsibilities and requirements for federal-aid contracts and subcontracts exceeding $10,000.

The workshops will be from 8 a.m. to noon in three locations.

  • Jan. 18, ITD District 1 offices, 600 W. Prairie, Coeur d’Alene
  • Jan. 25, ITD District 5 offices, 5151 South 5th, Pocatello
  • Feb. 1, ITD Headquarters East Annex, 3292 Jordan Street, Boise

Participants will learn about the federal departments of Transportation, and Labor, Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action requirements for both construction and consultant companies. The latest updates to USDOT and USDOL EEO/Affirmative Action and military veteran requirements on federal-aid projects also will be provided.
