Legislative audit of ITD finds no deficiencies

The Legislative Audits Division recently concluded an annual financial audit of ITD and issued a clean bill of health.

“We have completed certain financial audit procedures on the Idaho Department of Transportation’s financial activities that occurred during the fiscal ended June 30, 2011. The work was performed in accordance with Government Audit Standards issued by the Comptroller General of the United States.”

The audit resulted in no findings, indicating there were no significant issues found that require attention.

“Based on the limited procedures applied, we conclude the financial operations of the department meet acceptable standards. Further, the department complies with laws, regulations, rules, grant agreements and contracts for which we tested compliance. We have no findings and recommendations to report,” according to the findings announced by Don H. Berg, manager of legislative audits.

He submitted the management report related to the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report to ITD Director Brian Ness in late December.
