WTS to honor Crider, interchange project

An ITD partnership with H.W. Lochner and the continuing contributions of an ITD engineer will be honored this month at the annual awards ceremony of the Women in Transportation Society (WTS). Monica Crider, an active member of the women engineers group, will be recognized as its member of the year.

The Treasure Valley chapter of WTS chapter also chose Lochner for the Innovative Transportation Solutions Award, based on design of the Interstate 84 Ten Mile Interchange in Meridian.

Community Transportation Association of Idaho will be honored as the employer of the year, succeeding ITD, last year’s winner.

Representatives of the engineering firm and Crider will be recognized Jan. 26 during a ceremony at the Courtyard by Marriott, 1729 Eagle Road. Cost of the awards event is $20 for WTS members and $25 for non-members. Attendance includes a drink ticket and “a large array of heavy appetizers and desserts.”
