ITD schedules bridges for naew deck surfaces

Nearly a dozen bridges in the Interstate 84 corridor between Payette County and Elmore County will have the riding deck resurfaced in projects starting this spring.

Many of the bridges will also receive an overlay, concrete waterproofing, or have deck joints repaired. Guardrail and parapet may also be repaired.

Starting in mid-April, a six-month long project will address several bridges in Ada and Elmore counties, including:

  • The Eisenman Interchange bridge at Exit 60
  • The Mayfield Interchange bridge east of Boise at Exit 71
  • The Canyon Creek underpass in Mountain Home at milepost 92
  • The 18th Street underpass in Mountain Home at milepost 94
  • The east- and westbound U.S. 20 interchange at Exit 95
  • The Old Oregon Trail Road bridge at milepost 99, and
  • The bridge for the Hammett Interchange at milepost 112

Similar bridge deck rehabilitation work will take place between the end of May and early August on bridges in Payette, Canyon and Ada counties:

  • The bridge over I-84 at Black Canyon’s Exit 13
  • Centennial Way overpass in Caldwell
  • The eastbound off- and westbound on-ramp over the Boise River at Caldwell’s Exit 27, and
  • The I-84 crossing over the Boise River in Caldwell.

No weekend work is anticipated, but is not prohibited if needed.
