Aviation: C

Idaho’s aviation sector plays an important role in Idaho’s economy, from passenger travel and freight shipments, to recreation.

“Whether it’s a major airport or one of the many backcountry airstrips, aviation infrastructure provides critical access, mobility, convenience, and safety to all Idahoans,” the ASCE report indicates.

Idaho citizens have access to substantially more aviation services per capita than 97.3 percent of Americans. Sixty percent of Idaho’s aviation-related economic impact comes from the Boise airport, 20 percent from the other commercial airports and 20 percent from all general aviation airports.
