Mobility council to meet April 24 in Boise

Grant awards will lead discussion when the Idaho Mobility Council (IMC), including members of the Public Transportation Advisory Council and Interagency Working Group, meet April 24 at the Boise Hotel and Conference Center, 3300 Vista Ave. in Boise.

The public is invited to attend the meeting scheduled in the Cascade Room from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Discussion topics include funding decisions for programs and agencies transporting elderly and disabled people, supporting public transportation in rural areas, helping low-income people with job-related transportation needs, and expanding transportation mobility options available to people with disabilities beyond requirements established by the 1990 Americans with Disabilities Act.

Other topics discussed will include the vehicle replacement program for Idaho public transportation providers, changing two of Idaho’s Local Mobility Management Network boundaries, adjusting an I-way boundary, I-way Leadership Awards, a public transportation service change in the Salmon River Canyon area, a sub-committee chair election and a legislative update.

IMC provides leadership, enhances coordination and leverages funding in the development of Idaho’s mobility system.
