Training specialist receives ISU 'Community Partner' award

Idaho State University presented the College of Technology Outstanding Community Partner Award for 2012 to ITD’s Joe Tamasco this week in Pocatello.

Tamasco is a training specialist in Human Resource Development, assigned to D-5. A 21-year ITD employee, he was recognized as a “volunteer who dedicates time and resources to help the college fulfill its mission.”

“We consider (Tamasco) to be an outstanding community partner with the students, program and College of Technology,” announced R. Scott Rasmussen, dean of the college. “We believe this award is a high distinction, and I add my congratulations to the school’s selection committee for their perceptiveness in choosing you for this honor.”

The College of Technology presented the award at a reception Wednesday at ISU’s Culinary Arts Dining Room.
