ITD Mailbox

Impressed with service

When Beverly Sexton began planning for a move from Tigard, Ore., to Meridian she wanted to make sure she knew the rules of the road in the Gem State. So she asked by e-mail for a copy of the Idaho Driver’s Manual to study for her license exam.

Lynn Rhodes and ITD’s Division of Motor Vehicles responded immediately by sending the manual. That prompted another e-mail from the Oregon resident:

“Wow! I am continually impressed with the service and how kind and helpful people are. Thank you very much for your help,” she wrote.

Providing prompt, courteous and accurate customer service is one of ITD’s highest priorities and supports the strategic plan goal to become the best transportation department in the country.

The Division of Motor Vehicles helped ITD take another step in that direction.

Professional, effective and timely

Hon. C.L. “Butch” Otter
Governor

I recently attended a class about fraudulent documents sponsored by the Idaho Transportation Department. The class was attended mostly by drivers license examiners. Motor Vehicle Technical Unit Supervisor Jeanne Purcell was the instructor.

Her presentation was professional, effective and timely. The information provided is useful and valuable to all Idaho examiners. Additionally, the personal interaction of attendees provided insight about how similar situations and concerns are addressed by examiners representing counties.

I look forward to the opportunity to attend related supplemental classes.

Thank you Jeanne.

Chester Lenda,
Drivers License Examiner
Bonneville County, Idaho
