Public input sought on revised State Management Plan

ITD's Division of Transportation Performance (ITD-DTP) announced this week the public comment period is open on its revised State Management Plan.

The plan is a required Federal Transit Administration (FTA) document that details how the state administers and oversees program funds to assure compliance with federal regulations and requirements. It initially was published in 2009 and must be reviewed and updated periodically.

ITD-DTP welcomes public input on issues affecting mobility throughout the state. Mobility is one of the cornerstones of ITD's Strategic Plan that also emphasizes safety and customer service.

The comment period provides a means for the public to identify issues within the document that are missing, incorrect or unclear as written. Transportation Performance staff takes advantage of the comment period to listen to the public and consider input but not to provide responses. The public comment period as a time to listen and consider, but not to respond. Comments regarding the State Management Plan will be considered by the authors, and changes or responses to the comments will be reflected in the final version of the documents, which will be published at www.i-way.org.

Final versions of the State Management Plan will then be published on www.i-way.org.
