Employee generosity makes big difference for neighbors

ITD employees shared their talents and their resources recently as part of the state employees annual charitable giving campaign.

Direct financial commitments and participation in fund-raising activities generated more than $18,000 in support to charitable organizations that make life easier for our neighbors.

Participation, in terms of contributions and donated items for the annual raffle, showed the true generosity of ITD employees, said Tammie Jauregui, who coordinated the event at Headquarters. The basket raffle and other fund-raisers brought in $2434 from Headquarters employees and another $348 from colleagues in District 3.

ITD generosity was most evident in direct contributions statewide. Employees committed $15,383.04 to the annual campaign, administered by United Way partners.

Employees who met criteria for a giving a percentage of their income at earned designated parking places at Headquarters. They included Shannon Barnes, Kelly Campbell, Linda Emry, Greg Laragan and Amy Smith.

Jauregui said the following were among the designated Charitable Giving Campaign beneficiaries:
