D-3 employees lend a hand and some toys

ITD has always been community minded and driven, and never more so than during the holidays. Again this year, District 3 donated several boxes of toys to the U.S. Marine Corp Toys For Tots Foundation.

Janet Gregory, Maintenance Office Manager and the Toys for Tots organizer at D-3, said the district has been involved in the effort for the past 10 years.

“Each year we try and collect toys for the kids of the Treasure Valley” said Gregory. “It is our way of giving back to the community.” 

Three full donation boxes, each about two-feet wide and four feet high, were delivered to the Glenwood Fire Station Thursday.

The toy-distribution effort began in December 1947 by a retired USMC reservist in Los Angeles.
