Director's TRB presentation featured on 'Transportation TV'
A recent presentation by ITD Director Brian Ness at the annual Transportation Research Board meeting continues to generate national attention. The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) featured the director’s entire presentation this week on its national website, Transportation TV.
A five-minute summary of the TRB meeting includes segments of only three presentations – U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood, Victor Mendez, administrator of the Federal Highway Administration, and Ness.
Transportation TV also featured Ness’s entire 15-minute presentation on ITD leadership and organizational changes. He was part of a panel discussion “Current Strategies for State Department of Transportation Leadership.” The panel included AASHTO President Mike Lewis; Rhode Island Department of Transportation Director Kirk Steudle; and Shailen Bhatt, secretary of the Delaware Department of Transportation.
Ness was the only department of transportation leader whose remarks were shown in their entirety on AASHTO’s Transportation TV.
