Construction to reduce route near HQ to single lane Wednesday

Vehicle and pedestrian access east to Jordan Street from ITD Headquarters will be limited Wednesday (March 6) because of excavation on Rose Street.

Construction is part of the 30th Street Extension (Whitewater Park Boulevard) project between State Street and Fairview Ave. The joint city of Boise-Ada County Highway District project will impact ITD employees occasionally through the 2013 construction season.

ALTA Construction will reduce the Rose-Jordan street intersection to a single lane Wednesday as part of the corridor project. To accommodate ITD and local traffic, ACHD asked the contractor to ensure one lane remains open.

ITD employees are encouraged to use the State Street entrance Wednesday to ease congestion on Jordan Street. The construction schedule also includes work on the street’s subgrade, sub-base and curb grade preparation from Crane Creek to State Street east of the ITD campus.
