Advantage system upgrade planned for Tuesday

ITD’s transition to the next generation of AMS Advantage will be complete when version 3.9 goes live Tuesday, said project manager Cynthia LaJoy.

The current version, Advantage 3.7, will be unavailable for financial processing/payments and for timesheet recording on Monday. Employees who log their work hours daily, should keep a written copy and input the data into the new system after it becomes available Tuesday.

All employees should be able to complete and submit timesheets as usual for the period ending Saturday, March 16.

ITD replaced its legacy system Oracle in 2004 with Advantage 3.4, and four years later upgraded to 3.7. The department has used 3.7 the past five years with only minor changes.

Most of the significant changes occur behind the scenes and will have minimal impact on employees who use it primarily for timesheets. Those who process federal reimbursements and order supplies or services or make financial payments will be impacted most.
