Mobility council to discuss strategy Tuesday in Boise

Finding a strategy that best coordinates Idahoans with their public transportation needs will be the focus of the Idaho Mobility Council (IMC) when it meets Tuesday (April 23) in Boise.

The public meeting is scheduled from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Best Western Plus Vista Inn, 2645 Airport Way. People may participate via telephone by contacting Marsha Bracke at marsha@marshabracke.com or dialing (208) 472-8841 at least 24 hours before the meeting to receive a call-in phone number.

The meeting will be conducted in a workshop format and is meant to generate understanding of the roles, responsibilities, challenges and needs of agencies responsible for human services and public transportation, in addition to their respective customers.

Participants will discuss the coordinated delivery of public transportation services and prioritize opportunities to increase coordination by identifying and reducing barriers.

The IMC provides leadership, enhances coordination and leverages funds for Idaho’s mobility system. The group includes members of the Public Transportation Advisory Council and the Interagency Working Group.
