Public transportation group’s quarterly meeting planned Wednesday

The Public Transportation Advisory Council (PTAC) will review annual funding recommendations and discuss roles and responsibilities for the group and state District Coordination Council leaders Wednesday(April 24).

The meeting will be from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Best Western Plus Vista Inn, 2645 Airport Way, in Boise.

The group will receive compliance updates regarding grant recipients, consider a statewide Rideshare funding request, and discuss Alternative Analysis and state Vehicle Investment Program funding.

Meeting participants also will consider establishing a contingency fund for unforeseen public transportation issues and a new service or “start-up” fund to be used for the quick start of new or expanded services.

The Community Transportation Association of Idaho will deliver its quarterly performance report at the meeting, which is open to the public.

PTAC’s mission is to foster public transportation for all Idahoans across the statewide transportation system by working to increase local and intercity services.
