County official learns from peer exchange at ITD

ITD recently opened the doors to Internal Review and welcomed delegates from several states for a peer exchange. Dawn Burns, an internal auditor from Ada County, was among the guests, and she was impressed by what she saw, according to a letter from Phil McGrane, chief deputy for the Ada County Clerk of the District Court.

“I would like to thank you for allowing Ada County’s Internal Auditor Dawn Burns to participate in the recent peer review of you Office of Internal Review, along with the reviewers from three other states. In particular, we are grateful to manager Carri Rosti for facilitating Ms. Burns’ participation on the review team.

Ms. Burns reported she was impressed with the professionalism of the staff and the high quality of the work performed by Internal Review. Mrs. Burns’ experience with your team will help the Ada County Auditor’s Office to prepare for our own peer review. We appreciate the willingness of the staff to share their knowledge and experience, as well as their hospitality …
