Nick Jones understands value of customer service

Nick Jones knows customer service. He delivers it on a daily basis … usually one-on-one, under less than ideal circumstances and never with the intention of public commendation.

Yet, the people he serves as one of ITD’s District 3 Incident Response personnel will never forget his help. Several of his beneficiaries – which include motorists, law enforcement officers and occasionally bicyclists – independently said thanks in recent correspondence:

Date: March 6
From: Idaho State Police Region 3 Commander Capt. Steve Richardson
Comment: “Thanks so much for the prompt and efficient service provided recently by IRT member Nick Jones.

His work certainly enhanced the safety of our motor officers, and in essence, allowed for law enforcement work not otherwise possible.

Very nice work by Nick, and thanks for the great support from ITD! Please pass on our appreciation.”

Date: June 8
From: Mike Perry, cross-country bicyclist
Perry was bicycling east from Oregon through Idaho in the Nampa/Boise corridor, on his way to Virginia.
Comment: “I had experienced several flat tires earlier and was hoping that was behind me. Just when I thought life was good again, yes, another flat. I was not a happy guy.

Nick helped me get going again; he no doubt could tell I was tired. He had been a bicycle mechanic in an earlier life, so he knew exactly what to do. I won’t forget Nick and the wonderful help he was to me!”
