Soresen named senior buyer at Headquarters

Todd Sorensen, a grants/contract program specialist in the central supply warehouse at Headquarters, was named senior buyer this week in the Business and Support Management section.

Sorensen, formerly a rural mail carrier and an inventory manager at several stores in the private sector, became a storekeeper at ITD in 2012. He was promoted to grants/contract program specialist in December.

He also was a reserve deputy with the Ada County Sheriff’s Office, served in active duty in the Navy and on reserve duty with the Navy and Army.

“We look forward to Todd’s enthusiasm and experience to continue moving ITD toward becoming the best transportation department in the country,” said BSM Manager Michelle Doan.

Sorensen’s new assignment is effective this month.
