D-2 employees gather for first holiday potluck

Lewiston employees jumped into the holiday spirit Dec. 19 with the first district holiday luncheon.

Employees pitched in to create a “potluck feast rivaled by none.” It included a dessert table and hot chocolate bar.

After filling their plates, employees gathered in the main conference room to listen to materials engineer Chad Clawson’s reading of "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas." Obviously, it was the only Grinch at the potluck.

Laughter could be heard throughout the remaining luncheon as National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation provided a festive background ambiance and generated rousing laughter that lasted the rest of the luncheon.

This cake was made by Brandee Taylor, wife of materials TTS Steve Taylor, baked a cake for the occasion. Not seen in the picture are lights in the houses illuminated through the windows! All of the items on the cake were edible.

Engineers in Training participants Crystal Grasmick and Janet Zarate deserve huge thanks for pulling out all the stops and making the inaugural holiday party/potluck an event to remember.

Best wishes to all for happy holidays.
