Public Transportation Advisory Council's meeting planned Jan. 22

The Public Transportation Advisory Council (PTAC) will discuss funding applications, review guiding principles for the group and receive program updates Wednesday.

The meeting will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Hampton Inn & Suites Boise/Spectrum, 7499 W. Overland Road, in Boise.

PTAC members will discuss 2014 funding applications, a process for awarding vehicle-replacement funds and recommendations for funding mobility options that exceed American with Disabilities Act requirements.

The group also will consider establishing and adopting permanent program principles and revisions to the District Coordination Councils' charter and operational guidelines.

Additional discussion topics include:

- I-Way leadership awards

- Mobility management system analysis

- Idaho Transportation Department's appeal procedure

- Financial reporting status and update

The meeting is open to the public.

PTAC's mission is to foster public transportation for all Idahoans across the statewide transportation system by working to increase local and intercity services.
