Employees support National Wear Red Day

Red ruled fashion choices for Headquarters' employees supporting National Wear Red Day (Feb. 7) as part of American Heart Month in February. Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the United States.

National Wear Red Day helped remind people that they need to protect themselves and loved ones from heart disease and stroke by understanding the risks and following these preventive suggestions from the Centers for Disease Control:

- Get up and get active! Be physically active for at least 30 minutes, at least three days a week.

- Eat a heart-healthy diet that includes fresh fruits and vegetables, and foods low in sodium and trans-fat.

- Take control of your heart health by following your doctor's prescription instructions.

Everyone is invited to go to the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women website and vote for ITD's red-clad participants pictured below at https://www.goredforwomen.org/wearredday/challenge/
