Public transportation group's quarterly meeting planned for April 23

The Public Transportation Advisory Council (PTAC) will review annual funding recommendations, a 2014 Federal Transit Administration appropriation correction, application for New Freedom Program funding to assist people with disabilities and a fund-transfer request from southeast Idaho.

The meeting will be held April 23 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Hampton Inn and Suites, 7499 W. Overland, Boise. It is open to the public and public comment will be available.  Anyone wishing to participate may contact Kelly Higgs at 800-527-7985 for the conference call phone number.  For public comment, please request a public comment sign-in sheet.

The group will discuss balancing and program structure for a program funding buses, bus facilities and vehicle investments; inter-city reprioritization of routes; and the District Coordination Council’s committee recommendations for upcoming open PTAC positions in districts in southwest and southeast Idaho.

The Community Transportation Association of Idaho will deliver its quarterly performance report.

PTAC’s mission is to foster public transportation for all Idahoans across the statewide transportation system by working to increase local and intercity services.
