Contreras-Sweet, Idaho Sen. Risch headline contracting event

Maria Contreras-Sweet, newly appointed national Small Business Administration administrator, and Idaho Senator Jim Risch spoke about federal contracting opportunities during the ChallengeHER—Boise, ID, workshop held at Headquarters Wednesday.

Following opening remarks, the two answered questions from the group of women business owners attending the workshop to learn more about doing business with the government.

Sen. Risch is the ranking member of the U.S. Senate Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee. Contreras-Sweet is the 24th and current administrator of the Small Business Administration.

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP), and American Express OPEN (OPEN) partnered to host the women business owners for the special contracting event.
