ITD aviation academy enrollment extended to May 16

Enrollment has been extended through May 16 for high school students, ages 14-18, to learn about aviation and space-related careers at the Idaho Transportation Department’s annual Aviation Career Exploration (ACE) Academy June 16-18 in Boise.

ITD’s Division of Aeronautics sponsors the program that features students going on field trips to places like the Boise Airport Terminal, a flight school, a military aviation facility and an air traffic control tower. Other activities include seminars on aviation careers and colleges, and participating in an aircraft flight and a hands-on satellite project.
