ITD Quick Facts booklet provides Idaho transportation snapshot

How the transportation department is organized, who is in charge and facts about many aspects of Idaho's transportation system are available now in the ITD 2014 Quick Facts booklet.

The publication was recently updated by the Office of Communications and answers questions like:

  • How many centerline miles of highway there are on the state system?
  • How much of ITD's 2014 budget comes from the federal government?
  • How many miles comprise the Peaks to Craters Scenic Byway?
  • How many fatal crashes in Idaho are related to distracted driving?
  • How does one contact a port of entry?

The compact publication includes information on administrative leaders and board members, budget facts, highways and bridges, motor vehicles, aeronautics, public transportation and highway safety.

It also has a "contacts" section that lists telephone numbers of some of the department's most frequently called offices. This year's edition includes telephone numbers for the new Division of Engineering Products and the Division of Plans and Engineering Services.

Printed copies of the Quick Facts book are available from the Communications Office at Headquarters (334-8005) or may be downloaded as a Portable Document File (PDF) for printing from the Web.
