Knows what good customer service looks like

A manager for most of her career, an unidentified ITD customer recognizes good service when it’s delivered. That opportunity came recently, thanks to the Division of Motor Vehicles.

The customer faxed her appreciation to the department last month, complimenting the DMV’s Driver ‘s Services section, especially Doreen O’Neil, for help in completing a license transaction.

“I would like to compliment Doreen (O’Neil).  I have been a manager for over 35 years and am a great judge of excellent customer service.  She (Doreen) provided very caring, professional and personal service to me after I had experienced very frustrating and rude treatment from the Social Security Administration.

“When our call was dropped, Doreen called me right back and apologized when most people would have just waited for the customer to call back.  She deserves kudos, and she certainly has my sincere appreciation.

“She is one of the reasons why I love Idaho!  Thank you very much."

That level of excellence is no surprise to Doreen’s manager, Vicky Fisher.

“Doreen recognizes the needs of others and has a way of building a mutual trust and understanding with all of her customers.  She excels at resolving conflicts and is extremely confident in facing confrontation. That’s why she is great for the court testimony her job requires.”
